What is a Third Party Fundraiser?
Initiating a third party fundraiser is just another way you can help Shalom help our community. Size doesn’t matter, your activity or event can be as little or as big as you like. With Shalom Counselling Centre’s endorsement you can host a BBQ, a car or dog wash, an ice cream social, bake sale or a pancake breakfast. Your imagination is your only fundraising limitation. Recruit some family, friends, neighbours or colleagues at work, and get your fundraising party started. With reports of mental health challenges now affecting one third of Canadians, combined with Shalom receiving a one third increase in inquiries for counselling services, the need hasn’t been greater. Your contribution will directly support subsidized counselling sessions, ensuring counselling services are financially accessible to all. For event guidelines and endorsement just reach out to Grant Damsgaard at Shalom Counselling Centre, [email protected] or call 403.342.0339

Shalom Counselling Centre would like to welcome Grant Damsgaard as our Fund Development Coordinator
Grant's passion for nonprofit fund development began in 2016 when he joined the team at the Central Alberta Crime Prevention Centre. Working collaboratively, the CACPC's first annual family friendly "Touch-A-Truck" event was introduced. His experience continued to grow when he joined the fund development team at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alberta, delivering annual signature events in support of families with a child requiring in-hospital care. Grant now looks forward to cultivating new donors as well as fostering longtime constituents that support the good work Shalom Counselling Centre provides for their clients in Red Deer and Central Alberta. Everyone is deserving of spiritual and emotional peace and Grant is committed to ensure that the funding continues as Shalom Counselling Centre grows to meet the needs of their clients now and in the future.
