Shalom Counselling Centre opens the door to hope, healing, and wholeness for the families of Central Alberta. Individuals, couples and families who are in need of quality counselling will have a place to come to find peace.
- 1999 – Shalom begins with one Counsellor and volunteer Administrative Staff as a program of Parkland Christian Church
- 2003 – Shalom registers as a branch charity of PCC
- 2006 – Shalom has outgrown its space and subsequently moves to a new location under a lease from Balmoral Bible Chapel in August. In December Shalom becomes incorporated under the Alberta Societies Act as its own Registered Charity.
- 2014 – Shalom celebrates 15 years of service to individuals, couples and families throughout Central Alberta. Bob Mckenzie steps down as Executive Director and the Shalom Board of Directors hires Lisa Smith to assume the role.
